All of our girls at Topshelf Border Terriers are OFA'd for Heart, Hips and Patellas and eyes CERF'd before they are bred.  These health checks are required by us and recommended by The Border Terrier Club of America.  Our girls are also issued a CHIC # which is a validation that the recommended health screenings are done, made public and permanently identified with a microchip or tatoo.  Issuing of CHIC numbers in no way indicates that the stock 'passed' all the health checks.  It's just a validation that they are done and made public for everyone's viewing.

Bailey is a grizzle & tan bitch bred by Terri & Jim Orem & Larry Greene in Milan, IN. She is the half sister to the Multi BIS CH Highgates Zaccheas Of The Ark JE. She is my heart dog and the love of my life! She has such a wonderful temperament that any breeder would want in their breeding program.  She has the temperament that a Border Terrier should have! 

Bailey is my first Border Terrier in so many ways.  She's my first finished AKC champion, first performance dog and the dam of my very first litter.  She was bred to BISS CH Kandus Burlap Of Howway ME and produced 4 very nice pups on 12/27/07.  One boy & 3 girls.  We kept one girl from this litter and she is known as 'Topshelf's Bushmills With A Twist' (Millie).  We affectionately call her 'Sillie Millie'. 

Bailey will no longer have any more puppies.  She was spayed in Jan 2010 so we can now concentrate on her agility career.  Bailey qualified for the 2011 AKC National Agility Championship being held at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, VA.

CH Wildwood Blue Indigo JE NAP NJP (Indie) CHIC #53102

 BISS CH Kandus Burlap Of Howway ME x CH Wildwood Foxtail Lily

Indie is a blue and tan bitch bred by Annette Neff in Galena, OH.  Indie was from Lily's first litter that produced all girls and she was the only blue & tan.  She finished her Championship by owner/handler at the Fort St. Clair show on 4/27/08 by going Best Of Breed.  

Indie was bred to CH Towzie Tyke McBeth JE the first time and we kept a blue & tan male CH Topshelf Madman Across The Water (Manny, below).  Manny has a really great temperament.  He finished his championship at the age of 18 months at the Columbus Cluster of shows in November 2010.  He finished with 4 competitive majors.  

Manny is the correct size for a male and has the correct structure and movement that is hard to find in the border terrier.  He has fabulous shoulders and he floats when he moves.  He will be bred to Topshelf's Bushmills With A Twist JE in 2011.  Some really nice puppies will be expected from this line breeding. 

We co-own Manny's litter mate 'CH Topshelf Tumbleweed Connection' (Nikki, below) with Tom McCarthy.  She finished her Championship at the Cleveland Cluster of shows in Dec 2010.  She has 4 majors under her belt also.  She also has a very nice temperament.  We will continue to show her to her AKC Grand Championship in 2011 and will be breeding her next year.  Stud dog has yet to be determined.
